Day 7 – Thursday 31st January 2019 (Tokyo)

Today was a great day. We had Kanto classes then went to Asakusa and to the Edo Tokyo Museum. During the Kanto classes we learnt how to read different types of Kanji. We learnt different weather, animals and more. After the Kanto classes we caught the subway train to Asakusa. When we arrived, we went straight to a restaurant. The restaurant was a traditional style room where we sat on the floor (tatami floor) to eat. The meal was a traditional style tempura dish with several small side dishes to try. After lunch we headed to the market street near Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. The teachers let us go to all the different stores along the street. At the end of the street was the temple and at the other there was a bell with kanji. It was very interesting to see. We had to walk a little to get to the Edo Museum but it was worth it. Once we got to the Museum we had to go up some stairs and because it was windy most of us nearly fell over. The Museum was so beautiful. The old building and clothes in the Museum where amazing. Learning about what it was like back in the Edo period was something to be seen. After we had finished in the Museum we headed back to the school to go home with our buddies.

Thank you for letting us come on the tour it was an amazing day.
